A mysterious red balloon was found next to the Duck of Justice.

The Duck of Justice paid a visit to Stephen King to find out the source of the red balloon.

When we found the red balloon floating near the Duck of Justice, I surmised out of town pranksters were to blame.

I asked Melody (Queen of the Front Desk) whether she had let anyone into the Bangor Police Museum in the last few hours. She said, “No.”

I’ll be honest, it was a little creepy. I checked the security cameras; nothing. Nothing but a red balloon floating around.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know about Pennywise, Derry, the September 8th premiere of “IT.” Of course I know about all that. I was raised here.

I couldn’t tell if Melody was being truthful. I came up with a plan. I loaded the DOJ and Melody into a car and took a little drive.

No, I did not take her to a sewer grate in downtown Derry, I had other plans. I know that she needs both her arms to greet the fans of the DOJ on a daily basis.

Only one person could get to the bottom of this, and I knew where he was.

Several things were accomplished, Stephen King finally met the Duck of Justice and Melody was able get another thing off her bucket list. It is hard to tell who is more excited. She was floating all the way back to the station.

Mr. King claims he has no idea how the balloon ended up inside the secure doors of the Bangor Police Department. I believe him. Strange things happen here about every 27 years.

Yes, I am going to see “IT.” I wouldn’t miss it. I am not taking the duck. He will now only sit with Stephen King

Our sincere thanks to Mr. King, Jim, and Your Pal Bobby Russell (radio icon and one of my favorite people) for helping us pull this off. If you are in the mood for some rock n’ roll check out WKIT 100.3 HD Like ’em on Facebook, don’t be a buzzkill.

Keep your hands to yourself (especially near the sewer grates) leave other people’s things alone, and be kind to one another.

I would like to congratulate Officer Keith Larby for his recent engagement, performing with Billy Joel, at Fenway park

We thought he might have a girlfriend since he had been carrying a fresh pack of Luckies, a mint called Sen-Sen, and some Old Spice aftershave, I have no idea what’s in his wallet…FYI.

I’ll share with you a bit of his happy little post. Thank you to Boston P.D for helping our lad out!

“As many of you have already figured out Mara and I got engaged at Fenway Park on Wednesday night before the Billy Joel concert. My proposal went perfectly but I had a little help.

I want to give big thank you to Sergeant Detective Mike Linskey of the Boston Police Department. I walked up to him out of the blue and told him I was a cop in Maine and I needed a favor. Without hesitation he responded with, What do you need?”

Keith would also like to thank all the people behind the dugout who cheered for them.

What are you doing this weekend? We like to know. Don’t worry, we are not adding you to our database. We love to hear about you.

I read all the comments.

We will be here. Keeping the faith.
