Some Theatre Company to present ‘The Boys Next Door’

ORONO- Barry thinks he’s a golf pro. Norman can’t stop eating doughnuts. Arnold has decided he’s going to move to Russia and Lucien is concerned that they don’t have any trees.

Written with extraordinary humor and compassion, “The Boys Next Door”, by Tom Griffin, is a delightful and touching picture of life, friendship and challenges. The four “boys” always “tell it like it is,” and don’t need anyone to tell them how or when to express their feelings.  In this time of cynicism, there is an honesty and sincerity about these men that will stay with you long after the play ends.

The play is also marked by a deep care and understanding. It touchingly communicates that these four men are just like everybody else,  and just want to love and be loved while finding some meaning and purpose in their lives.

The showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Aug. 25-26 and Sept. 1-2. 2 p.m. Aug. 26 and Sept. 2 at the Keith Anderson Community House, 19 Bennoch Rd. It’s $10 general admission (available online and cash/check at the door) and $25 for Patron of the Arts (available online only)
