Little League: Forrest Auto Body grabs victory over Hermon Dysarts

Forrest Auto Body took the lead late in the game in a 19-4 victory over Hermon Dysarts on Saturday, May 13 at Hermon field.  The game was tied at four with Forrest Auto Body batting in the top of the fifth when Brady Theriault induced Delanie Perkins to ground out, but one run scored.

Garrett McLeod and Nate Downs led Forrest Auto Body to victory by driving in four runs each. Garrett went 3-for-5 at the plate while driving in runs on a single in the fifth and a double in the fifth.

Forrest Auto Body captured the lead in the first inning. Nate Downs drove in two when he singled in the first inning.

Hermon Dysarts scored three runs in the third inning. The big inning for Hermon Dysarts came thanks to a single by Gavin Bartlett and an error by Drake Grove. Garrett McLeod earned the win for Forrest Auto Body. He tossed three innings, surrendering three runs, four hits, striking out seven, and walking one. Brady Theriault took the loss for Hermon Dysarts. He threw two and two-thirds innings, allowing ten runs, eight hits, and striking out four.

Dan England started the game for Hermon Dysarts. He went two innings, giving up two runs, six hits, striking out five, and walking zero. Aaron Donovan started the game for Forrest Auto Body. He tossed one inning, allowing one run, zero hits, and striking out two.
Forrest Auto Body collected 17 hits. Garrett Mcleod,  CJ Jewett, Nate Downs, Sam Dakin, Aaron Donovan, and Evan Spencer each collected multiple hits for Forrest Auto Body.  Forrest Auto Body stole 19 bases during the game as four players stole more than one. Garrett McLeod led the way with five.
